Stock will be arriving into our warehouse mid-November for immediate dispatch.
Australian cartoonist, writer, painter, philosopher and poet Michael Leunig (1945–2024), known simply as ‘Leunig’, contributed to The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald for more than five decades. He began with traditional political cartoons, but in 1969 — restless with the genre’s boundaries — he sent in a surreal drawing of a man wearing a teapot on his head, riding into the sunset on a large duck. It was published, and Leunig later saw it as a symbol of his own break from convention.
Across his career, his art and words have filled 25 books, appeared in exhibitions of prints, paintings and drawings, and found new life in television, theatre and radio. His work continues to speak to the human condition — mixing humour, tenderness, and a clear-eyed view of the world.
